What is Shared Education
Shared Education provides opportunities for children and young people from different communities and backgrounds to learn together both in and out of school.’ DENI 2016
Shared Education enables children from different sectors to join together for curriculum based collaboration- for example to study a specific subject through a shared class, or to undertake a project
It aims to promote reconciliation through building relationships and sharing a variety of learning experiences
Our Partnership
Through the PEACE IV Programme, Bushvalley Primary School is in partnership with, St Patrick's Primary School, Glenariff and St Ciaran's Primary School, Cushendun.
We are commencing our third year of the Shared Education Project.
2018/2019 was our first year in the Shared Education Project. Have a look at the video above, which will give you an indication of what a great opportunity this was for our Primary 5 pupils.

P1 Shared Educated Outdoor Learning
Primary 1 have been busy enjoying shared education days with our Partnerhsip Schools.

P5 Shared Education World Book Day Activity: March 2022
On Wednesday 2nd March, P5 continued with their AR Shared Education Project. The children made T-shirts about their favourite book/character for World Book Day. They then enjoyed sharing their T-Shirts with St Patrick's & St Ciaran's Primary. Well Done Primary 5
2021/2022 Shared Education Acivities
Primary 5 Accelerated Reader Activity - Wednesday 26th January 2022
On Wednesday 26th January 2022, Primary 5 enjoyed an online collaboration activity focusing on sharing their experiences of the Accelerated Reader Programme, which our Partnership have been able to purchase through Shared Education! A great morning was had by all!
