Our Shared Education Partnership

What is Shared Education
Shared Education provides opportunities for children and young people from different communities and backgrounds to learn together both in and out of school.’ DENI 2016

Shared Education enables children from different sectors to join together for curriculum based collaboration, for example to study a specific subject through a shared class, or to undertake a project.
It aims to promote reconciliation through building relationships and sharing a variety of learning experiences.

Our Partnership
Through the PEACE IV Programme, Bushvalley Primary School is in partnership with St Patrick's Primary School, Glenariff and St Ciaran's Primary School, Cushendun.
However, unfortunatley the Shared Education PEACE IV Programme finished in March 2023.

Details of a new Shared Education Programme will hopefully follow in 2024.

In the meantime, have a look at what our classes achieved in 2022/2023 through Shared Education

  • All classes P1-P7 were involved in Shared Education for 2022/2023
  • Foundation Stage Focus: Outdoor Learning
  • Key Stage 1: Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Primary 4: Writing Focus
  • Key Stage 2: Accelerated Reader & Mathletics
